Solid materials

The right material for every application

Glued wood, untreated

Glued laminated timber refers to an overall cross-section glued together from several layers (lamellas). Several individual lamellas are then glued together in a weatherproof manner. The components are load-bearing, less prone to cracking or twisting

Douglas fir, untreated

Douglas fir is resistant to insects and fungal attack due to resins and oils contained in the wood. In addition, the wood has a high surface hardness. Douglas fir is treated with glazes. This protects against environmental influences without costly wood care.

We use only technically dried Douglas fir

KVH, untreated

In the case of solid structural timber (KVH), the individual pieces of wood are dried, scanned for defects, sorted and glued together in a weatherproof manner by finger-jointing. Spruce wood used outdoors must be protected against fungal and insect attack.

We use technically dried, endlessly glued, solid spruce wood

Softwood,
impregnated

Spruce or pine wood is impregnated with metal salts dissolved in water
is, however, no UV protection. Due to the treatment, the wood has a higher residual moisture. Therefore, during drying, resin leakage, cracking or twisting may occur.

Coniferous wood,
untreated

Planed softwood, which is used in its natural form and contains no further processing or additives, is also called solid wood. Coniferous wood used outdoors must be protected against fungal and insect attack.
